I came to the US on a K1 visa last year as a happy bride to be. BUT now it feels as if I have been hanging on to a rough roller coaster ride with a fistful of Groundhog day thrown in. Today, I am emotionally, mentally and physically spent.

From nov 2013 to feb 2014, i lived in motels as I traveled with my husband between WV and OH to his hometown in Florida. He was later transferred to TX so we shuttled bet there and FL between Feb and April. I have lost track as to how many motel 6s, super8s, Days inns, red roofs etc we've stayed in. We managed to see some sights but that was because they were along the way. Thanks to my smartphone and tripadvisor, we managed to zero in on some decent, clean low priced lodging. Sometimes, though, he we would end up in a bad area.

Hang on there. As long as your husband is with you I believe no matter how long you have traveled or how difficult life is everything would be easier. Out my curiosity, does your husband serve in the military?

Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat

Sorry am new here so don't know muchc about the ground rules. I am going through adjustment of status but have hit snags one after the other. I don't know if i am just venting and if that is a bad thing but I am afraid and may not be able to share my plight with a subjective person

No, he is not in the military. I wanted to post my entire story but i need to cut and paste from my memo pad on my cell. I want to share it because i may have put myself in a dangerous situation. Do you think it will be okay or will it stir up too much contorversy?

What's going on? Why do you think you are in a dangerous situation and why are you afraid?

Here is the continuation:

Why the crazy, gyspy life? Because the house he spoke about when I was still back home and said that he was fixing for us to live in turned out to be unlivable. It was bitter cold then, even in FL and we had no house! I would not have minded that it was a double wide mobile home--I have seen some really nice ones-- but it was a dilapidated 2 br-1bath trailer with ripped up vinyl sidings.. Inside was like a scene out of 'Hoarders' with boxes of old clothes and circa 70s shoes, tools, stuff, everywhere. There was a double deck steel bed in one bedroom piled high with guitar cases and amps. His wardrobe was an upright cardboard box with a steel rod on which he hung a few button down shirts and jackets.

The kitchen had no range but a propylene 2 burner sitting out in the counter.

The tiny sitting area was occupied by a drum set and assorted sound equipt, mostly analog. He has no fridge and cabinets were filled with boxes and cans of expired foodstuff. I asked him how he ate. He said he would drive to the store everytime he was hungry. A framed picture of his 2 cute granddaughters was propped beside the kitchen sink, next to a bottle of 409 and wads of steel wool. When he needed electricity, he hooked up the generator. I was both shocked and sad, but more sad bec i could not imagine him living in such a mess when he earned a decent living in the oilfield. I did not think about myself at that moment, just him.

I dared not tell anyone out of shame and not wanting to hurt my elderly parents.

I tried not to miss my family back home, where i live in a really nice house in a safe neighborhood, and where holidays are special, where everyone is just a holler and a everything I need is skip away.

Why i didnt flee at that moment, idk. I love my hubby, who is always gentle and thoughtful. We had been engaged 3 years during which time he came to see me 3 times. The fourth time we met up abroad for a 12 day vacation. One time he even rented a condo for an entire month to be with me. I cannot say that we are strangers. And he picked me up to fly with me to the US to make sure i arrived safely.
