I have been checking the Visajourney processing times page and it shows that our service center is working on K-1 applications that are later than the date ours was initially accepted. How is this information generated for this site? We are 8 time zones apart and are just so desperate to be together. Also, it takes a month for my fiance to generate a police record in her country. We're wondering if she should go ahead and do that now so that we don't have to wait on it to get an appointment, or whether we should hold off. Is there any way to correlate the visa processing time on this site to when we're going to get our NOA2?

If you could fill in your timeline it would help VJers respond to your questions. We have no idea when you sent your I-129F petition in. I would think even if you waited for NOA2 you would still have plenty of time.

Don't rely on Visa Journey's processing times. It is not really accurate since many people have put wrong information in there.

Receipt of NOA2 on average is 5 months, some get it much sooner and some much later. Figure it could take 10 months. I'd wait until NOA2 to get the police cert and for you to compile your 134 documents to send (plus your new signed Letter of Intent).

Yea, I tried to fill out the visa time line, but got hung up on some part of it and never finished. I submitted on June 20 and they got it on the 23rd. This site claims that TX is processing June 25. Does this mean that they're done with all the prior dates, or they just now started looking at them? I guess I'm wondering as to how this site comes about the information as to what date the service centers are working on.

Some of the information comes from the same USCIS info and some comes from out timelines here.

Let's also understand, as I have come to understand, how the service centers work.

All the millions of petitions that are received at a SC are not time stamped and placed into a huge stack and the adjucators walk up to the master stack and process the next in line.....that is not how they work.

The petitions as received are placed into boxes and adjucators are given a box to work on. Then as fast as they empty the box, they get another box....so throughout the SC, the adjucators will be working on different dates depending on how fast they can crank them out.....or how much extra time is spent checking backgrounds, following up on RFEs, etc. I would say the dates they publish are estimates and not exacts.
