i-864 Sponsor's Household Size Question

Hi All,

I've been reading a number of threads regarding i-864, Part 5, Sponsor's Household Size but still have questions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Background:

• I am a US citizen petitioner filing for a IR-1 for my wife.

• We currently live abroad and have two children, 7 and 10 years old, who are US citizens.

• We are planning to live with my parents when we first arrive in the US.

• Since all of my current income is foreign earned income I will not be able to meet the 125% poverty line requirements.

• My parents will be joint sponsors. They file their taxes jointly so my understanding is my father will fill out an i-864 and my mother an i-864A.

Questions:

• For household size on my i-864, I believe the total will be 4. My wife, two dependent children and myself.

Is this correct? Or, since we will be living with my parents, do I need to include them as well?

• For the joint sponsor's (my father) i-864, my assumption is that the household size would be 3. My wife (the person being sponsored), my father and my mother (his spouse).

Is this correct? Or does he also need to include my dependent children in the household size? Does he need to include me since I'll be living with them?
