While booking a slot for F1 Visa, i am getting the below information message

"You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time"

Does this mean that i am not allowed to check the availability from now onwards and do i need to book my slot in the next time i login ????

You have already made an appointment, right? And are checking to see if there's something earlier? In order to do that, you have to cancel the appointment you made and book a new one. If you exceed the maximum number (I think it's 3, but not 100% sure of that) for that, your MRV fee payment (the $160 application fee) will be lost and you will not be able to make a new appointment without paying a new fee.

I didn't book the slot. I was checking for the available slots frequently yesterday and while i login today, i didn't get that message. Is it fine to login and check the availability???

@ Ravinsunny: I am in exact same situation. Got this warning after checking calendar couple of times for rescheduling. I never really rescheduled though. Did you finally try another attempt to reschedule after the warning? Were you able to see calendar and reschedule? Thanks!

Some points to be noted.

1. There is a specific number of times you can see the visa appointment page. Every time you change the date in "Schedule OFC Appointment" Page or change the location or you select a date/time and move to next page, it is treated as an attempt.

2. Your OFC appointment and consular appointment need not be from same location. Even if you have specified one location in DS-160, you can book your one or both appointments at a different location.

3. After few attempts (7-8), you would get the message

"You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time"

4. This is an advise. You still have few more attempts left. If you reach the limit, it would show

"You have exceeded the limit for viewing this page and your limit will be reset as of tomorrow."

5. You have not lost anything. You don't have to pay fees again. Reset time: Midnight at Washington DC, USA (EST). Depending on daylight saving time there, India time would change.

6. Once it is reset, you try again. Let's say you selected June 1st for OFC at xyz location and in the next page, it says nothing is available at any consular office. Then try a date June 15th/20th and repeat the same process for all consular offices. Let's say for the OFC date of July 28th, you are getting Sep 3rd Consular date as the earliest date in all consular offices. Then instead of going forward, come back and change the OFC date accordingly with at least one day gap between both appointments. This way you can plan your travel arrangements better.

7. Always give your local address as passport pickup address. This way, you don't have to travel again if you appear for consular interview at a different location.
