first off I'm so thankful that I found this forum. I have been searching the internet for such a long time, I don't know how I missed this site. I met my boyfriend in Germany in 2010 I came to California on an f1 visa in 2012, we just had a baby in May we got married in July and I'm getting ready to file all my paperwork question is will a birth certificate of our daughter car insurance and joint bank account be enough to support our marriage ???of course I have endless messages and thousands of pictures seeing that we've been together for 4 years ...I'm just a little concerned based on what I've seen here.

Also could someone please clarify the sponsor situation since I came here sponsored by my parents do I still need a sponsor or will my parents remain my sponsors thankful for any advice looking to submit package on Monday.

so when you study the 6 types of bonafide marriage evidence in the I-130 instructions,

what were yer thoughts?

Yes, try for commas or use a keyboard ...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Submit copies of whatever evidence you have of your marital union. The ROC process later on, you have to further prove the bonafides of your marriage. It's almost impossible to have the same documents right after marrying, that you would after being married for a couple of years.

Your husband is the petitioner, so he has to submit an I-864 and has to make enough for his household size, even if he doesn't meet the requirements he needs to fill out this form. On top of that, if he doesn't make enough, you guys will need a joint sponsor. Have you read the guides to figure out how the process works and the forms you need?

This does not constitute legal advice.

My question is fairly simple... I just wanted to know. (Based on the experience of members) if the birth certificate of our child, joint bank account, and car insurance is sufficient proof of marriage.

Furthermore i was hoping someone could clarify the sponsorship part.

You submit what you have and if it is not enough you will receive and RFE. This would give you time to obtain more evidence.

Sponsorship has to be first by your spouse, even if they have zero income. If he does not make enough for your household size at 125% the poverty level you will have to find an additional sponsor. They must be a USC or LPR living in the US with a US based income or assets that is at least 125% of their household size plus you.

ok - hack and slash - a coupla of points at a time - since i am too lazy to reformat post #1 and tackle all.

you are foreign spouse, but your parents are your sponsor for yer F1 visa,

and

you want them to be your sponsor for a green card, signing I-864.

OK - they (your parents) can do that only as a co-sponsor - IF (pick 1 or more)

1. they live in USA and

2. they are legal permanent residents or

3. they are USCitizens.

as, alas, your USCitizen husband has to be the primary sponsor.

this bothers me, much:

.I'm just a little concerned based on what I've seen here. yet you say you just found the site and just started reading the site. uhm... reread the GUIDE in the Guides Section, nowish, please. There's a weekend coming up, I get a sense yer missing stuff.

, just needed clarification. My husband is an international athlete so his taxes are not filed here in the us. It's all a little complicated.

A quick piece of advice... I'm not American and so very much am a novice when it comes to taxes, but my basic understanding is that taxes are paid and filed based on citizenship. If he is a USC sponsoring you to come here. He needs to have his taxes filed here (not in the least for the I-864), never mind that he is supposed to regardless.

I'd suggest sitting down with a tax accountant familiar with international taxes.

You will have about a two year wait for his visa interview at the current processing times. The affidavit of support will not be required for a while giving you plenty of time to either obtain a job or find a joint sponsor.

Send the petition now with all the evidence you have. He can take more to the interview with him in about two years.
