Rfe in aos process

Hi.

I got an email 21st of october saying that we got an rfe for my aos process, have not recieved the letter yet though. I applied for an ead at the same time and it seems that one's at a stand still, can this be because of the rfe in the aos?

Also, can this rfe mean that we might not need an interview or no?

You will be getting a letter soon showing what they want you may still get the biometrics letter but your EAD will be paused until you reply that RFE.

Don't worry the letter will arrive in the next days and you will be able to fix it. Lots of September fillers got RFE some already had it fixed others still waiting with that their case is paused

Ok, thanks for a fast response. I have heard that sometimes you don't even go for an interview, i wonder how common that is. I don't like interviews in general, lol

I've read about that too. Some k-1 are waived from interview. But I think it's very 50% there is not a exclusive reason. You can send lots of marriage evidence and still get one...

I think no one likes interviews haha I just tell myself they won't ask anything else than about your marriage and about you two, so no one else can do it better than you, we all can relax and just wait until the day comes

Based on the threads posted here, one good thing about getting an interview is that you are likely to get your green card sooner. Those with interview waiver letters tend to have to wait longer for their application to be adjudicated and then approved - sometimes many months without an update to their case. So there are pluses and minuses to both paths.

I believe there's an interview waiver thread somewhere where those with waiver letters are keeping each other company while they wait.
