hi everyone,
I really need your help, advice, guidelines in this matter.US embassy requires a police clearance from the other country that I have been before. I was kind of confuse. I work at Sharjah,UAE for a year last 2010-2011. Almost 4years now. My question is, do I really need to get a PC from UAE, how can I get it.I get crazy thinking about it. the website VISATISFIED VOYAGER says ''However, according to country-specific information on police records found at the State Department’s web site at http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9727#docs and http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9666, police certificates are considered to be unavailable to applicants who no longer reside in Saudi Arabia and UAE hence applicants are not expected to produce them. ”'',

i dont know what would be the right thing that i need to do, Has anyone encountered such?
please enlighten me. thank you so much.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

i worked in taiwan for 2 years and saudi arabia for 10 years and i just got home last 2013.NVC never asking me my saudi police clearance.they just only got my NBI and taiwan police clearance.and now everything will be fine.

nawala ang kaba, nagprint din nung country of reciprocity, sabi kc dun availble lng pg pysically andun ang applicant. salamt ha. sya nga pala nasa washington kna ngaun?

may isa pa pala akong question. ung immigrant visa application part 1 at part 2, ds230 pala un?. ds260 lng ung na fill up namin, nasa kanila na cgru ung form kc online application un dba,. na corious lng ako kc may ppirmahan pla dun pro sa ds260 na na print ko wala nmang space d2 na pwde ko pirmahan.

October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

UAE is a waiver country, embassy will waiver the police clearance requirement because it can only be obtained in person

Police clearance are part of the embassy process not so much so with NVC. Best follow the embassy instructions letter to avoid issues/delays. Police Clearance is # 7 on the list.

You will need one from Taiwan, but Saudi is a waiver country.

you just only fill out the DS-260 and print out the confirmation page because you need to bring it on your interview.Good luck
