mispelled surname(typo)

Anyone who has an experience about the typo? Im the beneficaiary,our NOA 1 and 2 were the same with an error of a single letter on my surname.We called the USC but it was already forwarded to NVC ,three days after we recieved a letter frm the USC to put it in writing to NVC and so we did it..but untill now we havnt recieved any info about the change,we already recieved our packet to do the medical and pay the visa,still my my wrong surname..and now im on the process,everything as per requirement i already put my correct surname.DS160,visa payment ,as well as my medical..will this be a problem during my interview?anyone frm philippines who has a problem same as mine,pls share..thanks

Just want to share this,i recieved my confirmation of the change through email frm the embassy were im about to be interview,they stated on the email that i need to bring my NSO birth certificate on the day of my interview...im very happy to knw it,now i knw theyll respond but it will just take a while,i sent a letter to NVC last august 8 and i just got the reply just today oct 24..thanks everyone and Godspeed!

Most times a typo in the name during the USCIS process is not a big issue and can be remedied at the embassy during the interview process. Glad everything is being corrected for you.
