Soooooo on Oct 15th my fiance went to go pay the $265 K1 visa application fee at the bank in Port-au-Prince and the bank insisted that the fee was $240. He showed them the letter from the US embassy in Haiti that clearly states that the fee is $265. The bank said they wouldn't accept any more or any less money than $240. He paid that amount and of course when I went onto the the ustraveldocs website with the receipt number, it said that the full MRV fee was not paid (of course!!). So He has emailed the ustraveldocs support and I have called them twice and they said they would expedite our case and that we would hear something within 24-48 hrs. Its been almost 2 day and we still haven't heard anything. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what more I can do?

I don't mean to sound too harsh, but that does look like a good reason to sue the bank...

From what I read the k1 visa fee is now $240 I just printed out a slip from ustraveldocs that says the price is $240. I know about two weeks ago prices changed so maybe you guys were in between the change? We are still waiting on packet 3 though so I don't know what that states. Good luck!

When I called ustraveldocs it even says the price is $240 and the sheet that he printed out from the website that he needed to take to bank even said $240 even though it says the fee is $265. Clearly the embassy doesn't communicate with the bank about fee changes.

That sounds like ustraveldocs needs to update their stuff more than the bank needing to get the right information especially if the deposit slip your fiancé printed only says $240. I'd also call the ustraveldocs folks back and see what they have to say about the fee discrepancy between the embassy and their site. I'd assume they'd be aware of the issue by now since it probably effects a lot of people.

Good luck!

I am in the same boat. The website says $265 but the slip says $240. My fiance paid at sogexpress the $240. Ustraveldocs.com nor did the call center reps would take our CGI reference number. I sent ustraveldocs a picture of the receipt and told them of the website and slip discrepancy; they said give them 1-2 days. UGH! Talk about frustration.

Please let me know if you hear from them and what they say. I agree, very very frustrating! It shouldn't be so difficult just to pay a fee.

I just got the packet 3 today, I'm the petitioner. One part of the letter says the fee is $240 and another part says it is $265... Visatraveldoc says $240. Tried calling the embassy last week and today and both my fiancé and I can't get through. Ughh

They have finally gotten their act together. Log on to ustraveldocs. Your fiance will have to pay the difference of 1200HTG then you can schedule your appointment.

Thanks for the update! My fiancé printed out the new deposit paper and took it to the bank this morning...BUT the bank doesn't want to take the additional 1200HTG. They claim that they can only can the paper once so they want scan it again. So I feel like we are back where we started.
