Good morning everyone. I paid the IV fee last Oct 15. on the receipt that i printed there are instructions that need to be followed. It says; IF YOUR CASE IS INITIATED AFTER OCT 4, 2010 AND YOUR CASE NUMBER BEGINS WITH AMM, ATH, BGH, LMA, MEP, OR MTL YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR VISA APPLICATION FORM ONLINE. OTHERWISE YOU MUST SUBMIT THE PAPER VERSION OF THIS FORM. I filed my petition march of this year and our case number starts with MNL. I asked some of my friends who filed and they said i should do the online version. My other friends said paper version. I visited the manila embassy site and it says there starting oct 2, 2014 visa applicants are required to file the online version (DS-260). It contradict the instruction on my receipt. I need your input guys. thank you very much and have a great day.

Please DO file the DS-260. I was told by the NVC that the information on their website is not up-to-date! That when you go to the Consular interview, they WILL ask you to file the DS-260. Our Case begins with CDJ and it's not listed on their website and i was about to fill out the DS-230! It's a good thing that i did not do that!!

Sorry, i am new here as of today! HAHA!! I tried to answer your question and i don't know if you read my answer. Anyway, i had called the NVC a while back and the lady who answered was telling me that "their website is NOT up-to-date and i would have to file the DS-260 NOT the DS-230 even though our Case begins with CDJ (which it's not on that list listed on the NVC website), i STILL needed to file the DS-260 because when my Hubby goes to his interview in Ciudad Juarez, the Consular Officer WILL ask for the DS-260! Make sure you print the payment and the 'Confirmation Page.
