CFO birth certificate requirement

Hi guys! I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere else. My fiancee just passed her US embassy interview for the K1 visa and I'm planning on seeing her in 2 weeks to help her pack up and fly back. Anyway, I was aware of the requirement for her to attend the CFO seminar, however, I was not aware that my birth certificate would be one of the documents required. I am a U.S. citizen born in Guam, a territory of the U.S., and checked to see how long it would take to get a copy. Apparently, it turns out it would take at least a month since I would have to request via mail. Since I'll be in Manila with her, is there anyway around this requirement? Perhaps since I'll be there in person, would that help? I've never needed my birth certificate my whole life, my passport and/or social security card were always accepted as alternatives. I'm worried about her being put on "hold" because of that, especially after reading the horror stories people had with them. =/

Thanks

Did you send USCIS a copy of your birth certificate for the petition process or did you use your complete passport for proof of citizenship?

There is a list of what is most commonly asked for by CFO in my link below. I would bury them in bullshlitz ;) with everything else on the list (including a copy of the bio page of your passport), copy of tax return (with your SSN blacked out) and then your fiancee needs to be self-assure and confident during the interview process.. ;)

Guam has no website to get birth certificate from? I was born in New York City. When I need it I go on the NYC Dept of Health Services website and get one in about 3 days.

When I sent in the paperwork for the visa I used my full passport as proof of citizenship. As for Guam having an online service providing birth certificates, unfortunately they don't =/

Just have your fiancee explain this if they ask. The copy of the USC birth certificate is not a listed requirement, it is just something CFO tossed in years ago under "other documents". If they have a good feeling about your fiancee and she acts confident and self-assured they may be just fine with this.
