Hi VJ fellas,

I was wondering how long it would take to receive a case #. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now and NVC still didn't receive my K1 package yet. Does anyone know how long it would take? Does the automated message machine give you the case #?

Hello all. New to the next steps after NOA2 approval on K1 visa. Will the NVC contact me the petitioner when a case # has been assigned? Will it be through means of email or physical address (letter). Any details will help and be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

When did you get approved? My NOA2 was on Oct 7, and still waiting for assigned case #. I believe you can call the NVC, but they will also send out a letter to the petitioner. I still think that you should call because I've heard some people never received a letter from the NVC.

We are in the same boat too. Our USCIS approval was Sept 16. The NVC is still not showing that they have received it. I just called yesterday again and she told me to wait for the 35 days and to call back at the end of this week or first of next week. My fiance wants to get down to London asap to have his medical done so all of that can be submitted to the Embassy.

i think it's pretty jammed up at the NVC now. Even though the paperworks are at the NVC, they didn't get to be entered until God knows when.

My goodness. Please don't tell me they wanted us to wait 35 business day. The operators keep telling me the same thing over and over again. As far as I know, NVC doesn't have to do anything else besides creating a case number for it for K1 visa. you're almost there just hang tight. :dancing:
