We Just recently had our interview in Lagos Nigeria and was placed on Administrative processing. What does this mean? how long will it take? How come the CO didnt elaborate on why we were placed on AP? We gave alot of information and the relationship is truly genuine.:cry::cry:

I can't comment on their decision because I wasn't there, but when it does that it normally means they are working on your case, its normally AP before a visa is issued or declined. It seems that its probably going to be issued because I am sure they give you paperwork if you are declined. I can't be 100 percent sure about that though, I think its something like a 221g if you don't have this then it looks like you may get a visa very shortly! Im sure my fellow visajourney colleagues will be able to tell you more. Good luck!

Unfortunately there is no timeline for AP; it could last weeks, months, or (rarely) years.

What do u means by elaborate? Did the CO give you form 221g? If he did, then the form should say what you are placed on AP. You need to give more review of you interview-how the interview went, the questions you were asked etc for people to be able advice you.

A interview were you given a 221g? If so what does it say? Sometimes they just need to verify information that was submitted. Sometimes they need to investigate some things.

Its all about what were the questions asked and how were they answered?

Was there a specific topic of interest to the CO that they kept asking about?

Does your relationship have red flags?

AP can last days to weeks to years. No one can expedite it hurry it or anything. Emailing the consulate will get you no where I believe they ask for a space pf time like 60 days or whatever before they want you to contact. Then they will call beneficiary back in and you will get refused or approved.

They may have given you a 221(g) or not. If they did, they want one or more documents from you. Get them what they asked for and use the exact delivery method they asked for.

If they did not ask for documents, just sit and wait. Nobody can tell how long the AP will last. You can look at the US trafeldocs website to get current status, but it won't tell you what the status will be tomorrow or when it wil move from AP to something else.
