Marivic received her visa :D but she still has to go to counseling class and CFO. I also know there is a tax at airport and some sort of departure fee (there's always another fee isn't there? :P )

The counseling class and CFO mostly seem to ask for a lot of the same basic things USEM was looking for like birth certificates, passport bio pages, etc., but they may ask for any number of other things not specifically listed as well.

Question 1) What things might they ask for other than ...

Requirements for Attendance to Guidance and Counseling Program
1. Original and photocopy of two (2) valid identification cards with photograph;
2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
3. If married, original and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office (NSO), or from Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO); or original and photocopy of Report of Marriage duly registered by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate or the Department of Foreign Affairs (if married abroad);
4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and
5. Payment of Php 400.00 counseling and registration fee.

Requirements for Registration
1. Original and photocopy of passport;
2. Original and photocopy of visa;
3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US-bound emigrants (except for K visa holders);
4. Original and photocopy of Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada-bound emigrants;
5. Original and photocopy of Certificate of Eligibility for Japan-bound emigrants;
6. Original CFO Guidance and Counseling Certificate (after satisfactory completion of the GCP); and
7. Duly completed emigrant registration form.

Question 2) Other than the airport and departure tax in Manila what else may be needed before departure (mostly where documents are concerned either to leave Manila or to enter the U.S.) ?

Links to any web-sites for what might be needed when entering the U.S. is good too. I'll continue to google and see what I come up with.

As always thank you in advance. She's almost here ;) Mwuah!

Congrats!! :dance:

Info on CFO is in the link below, follow the flashing arrow, then click the CFO tab at the top. CFO has a variety of things they have been known to ask for under "other documents"
Obviously you have a variety of documents listed that do not pertain to the USA or the K-1 visa.

CFO is pretty brutal with the documents so please make sure to have what you need. Other than that the CFO is a breeze. Just pay attention and answer their simple questions and you will be fine.

Follow Hank's nifty CFO Guide from the famous flashing red arrow. Be sure your wife/fiancé is prepared to answer questions about you and be sure she is confident about your relationship and looks the interviewer in the eye when answering. Don't waffle when answering or they will ponce on her like a hungry lion.

This may help. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/496525-cfo-seminar-experience/

I just sent my wife (fiance at the time) $300 in cash through WU to pay for miscellanous things like the airport terminal fee. Always good for her to have a few extra bucks in her pocket for unanticipated things like buying food at transfer airports while waiting for her next plane

Proof of your "singleness" for CFO: USA does not issue any document to prove that we are single. But this requirement can be satisfied by providig your fiance with your latest Income Tax Return. CFO looks at the filing status, sees "single" and they are satisfied. Just cross out your SSN with a black marker pen. They don't need that info, and not a good idea to trust them with it anyway.

And yes they do want to see your passport. Just make a copy of it for your lady. Mine was actually expired by the time of my wife's CFO since I do not need mine for travel until she gets her green card. Not an issue. They took it just fine.
