I wanted to thanks everybody on visajourney for their help and support.

Unfortunately, Jason and I, after 2 years and a half have decided to break up. I was feeling it coming. This last weeks, I did find it distant and different in the way he was talking with me.

We decided to stay friends. I am still having a hard time to deal with it. No hate, no nasty words were said but it still hurts a lot to break up with somebody that you thought was right for you and made a lot of plans with.

But I don't regrets anything. We did live beautiful things together. I guess our story had reached it's end. I have no anger, I am just really sad.

I wish all the people on Visa Journey good luck on their process and I hope they will be with their loved one soon.

Kasia.

Kasia, good things end, too. Thanks for your classy message, and good luck to you.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Sad to hear this, but your decision.

Just make sure the ex-fiance withdraws the petition properly so you're not showing in the system as having immigrant intent when visiting, or if you have another petition submitted.

Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate it.

I am gonna call him in few days to talk. I will tell him to withdraw the application.

We do respect each other, that's why we decided to talk about what we were feeling. He wants to live his life alone, I can't force him to change his mind. I can't blame him for doing what is right for him.

We still do care about each other a lot. And that's why we decided to at least stay friends and not hate each other for seeing the life in different ways.

I don't believe in a lot of things but I do believe that things happen for a reason.

I wish you all a good day/night and good luck to all of you again.

Things do happen for a reason and it is better that you figure this out sooner than the latter part. I am sure that it hurts but in time the pain will subside and perhaps you will find what you are looking for-or more importantly, the feeling will be mutual. Wishing you all the best....

Kasia,

Sounds to me that you and Jason are pretty intelligent and know how to end things in a humanly manner. And for that, I'm glad things happened for you two the way it did. And it is calming to hear that you stay friends with him. That shows character on both of your sides! That shows you guys hugely respect each other, and accept each other's differences and needs. And that is rare in this world...most people just attack the other, spewing verbal venom at each other and just try to destroy each other. You guys are very intelligent, and I'm sure that you both will have a wonderful life later on and yet, will be great friends! I am very sorry it happened, but honesty, I'm happy to hear how it happened...just read the other topics...you'll see what I'm talking about! I wish you the very best and to Jason too! You both deserve it!

All the best! (F)
