dear all
i have a question may be looks strange .... :-)
some people said in interview the officer asked them how many times you entered for dv lottery
actually i won after 19 years of applying for dvlottery..... (those days u had to post letter to register...i wonder anybody remember ..... )
i'm wondering is good or bad... clear.png:-)
i know we have to tell the truth & i'll go to tell the truth
but any opinion it has advantage or disadvantage for my visa

I did not know there may be such a question. Could you please provide the response for me and other people to be aware in case we are asked at the interview? Thank you.

The response is 'it's irrelevant, regardless of whatever question you're asked at the time of the interview, stick to the truth, simple"!

ofcourse everybody is going to tell the truth.

the reason i asked this question was that looked really strange to me.

i won after 19 years of applying & this shows how much i'm persisted to live in USA.

just this

Yeah, no-one ever lies in visa interviews.....

So what? You tried for 19 years, they're hardly going to refuse you an immigrant visa because you wanted to immigrate, are they?!

Y'know, sometimes they do just chit-chat - not every question is aimed at finding a reason to deny you.

The fact that you've been trying for 19 years isn't going to make the CO approve your case if you do not make the basic requirement or eligibility. Your 'persistence' isn't what is going to sway the final decision which is more or less what we've been trying to say to you since when you originally posted the question.

There are people who have actually paid and applied for one type of visa or the other time after time but were denied each time for one reason or the other. If the CO were to go by their 'persistence' they would have been approved considering the fact that they pay each time they apply and attend the interview. In your case, yes you've played the lottery for 19 years which basically means nothing as far as they're concerned, it's a lottery - some win, some loose.

i feel there is a big misunderstanding about my question.

in other forums people use to ask those who have had interview about the questions officer asked them.

some people said the first question they asked was that

it was so funny and strange to me such question.......just this.................

sometimes when sth is so simple to you , u wonder may be you have not get the main point of that question ....just this..........

i just wanted to get your opinion but now feel u r not happy about my question???

anyway thx so much for your comment
