No appointment letter received

Anyone can help me what to do? Until now i don't received my appointment letter from manila embassy yet.

I don't think you will get letter from the embassy... you should print out your appointment confirmation email and save the BPI bank receipt. You set the appointment online once you have your MNL# from NVC.

And you will fill out the DS-160 form online before going to your interview.

Ah... good point - sorry, hope I didn't confuse the OP if they are going for a visa other than K-1.

I was approved late July. We are scheduled for interview 10/22. DHL sent the appt letter this week. Really no need to for it in my opinion

But all you need for a K1 is online, Just follow Hanks Guidelines

Again, am I missing something? Where does it convey that this person is applying for a K-1 visa?

What type of visa are you chasing?

Only K-1 schedule their own (online or by calling), immigrant visas are scheduled by NVC and the appointment letter will come from there.

thanks guys for the reply... by the way we are applying for K1 visa. as per checking on my status online the status is Ready. My question is do i need to wait for my appoinTment letter before i proceed to the next step.I'm confused!!

I'm not sure about this but I think you were referring to K1 packet from the embassy informing you about your MNL case number? Am i right?

As of this writing, I haven't received mine. I'm done with my interview last Oct 2, 2014. Called NVC for my MNL case number. The moment I got it, I already proceeded in setting an appointment for interview online.

If you do have your MNL # then there is NOTHING to wait for. For sure DO NOT wait for any letter from USEM!!

So you are a K-1?

Don't worry about the letter. Print out the confirmation you get when you register online. That is all you need.

USEM's system to mail out the confirmation letter is dismal. They arrive late or not at all. My wife used the printout of her confirmation email, and they took it just fine. She has been here now for 4 months, we have been married now for 2 months, and to this day the confirmation letter has never been received at her home address in the Philippines.
