As I have not seen a topic such as this before, I am reaching out to see if anyone might know.

My Fiance had his interview on Sept 24th at the US Embassy in London. Things went well, they recommended us for approval. YAY.

Then on Monday 9/29, the Embassy calls him up and asks him if the Interviewer gave him back his visa. He told them that he had left it as required.

That was the extent of the call, and we have heard nothing back at all. I have been unable to contact anyone here in the US about this, or gotten a 'we can't help you'. I even called the Embassy and got a 'you will just have to wait'.

What should we do?

Thank you anyone for your help.

You should hope they find it. Obviously they didn't see it where it was supposed to be. Check your status on CEAC for changes from "ready". This UK Forum Post explains what happens in London and the status that will appear after the interview. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/?p=6741253

Use this contact form to communicate with the Immigrant Visa Unit http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

Tick this reason:

__ My inquiry concerns immigrant visas and is not covered by information on your website

If your status is still on ready on Thursday morning, then use the contact form and ask if your passport has been found.

Don't just ask your status as they tend to ignore that. Let them know they misplaced the passport and called three days prior asking about it.

For any who might have been wondering.

We sent off an email (through the form) to the London Embassy, asking out the location of my fiance's passport after the phone call.

We got a reply early Thursday morning, appologising for the confusing and that his passport was with his application paperwork and being processed.

We continued to wait (7 Business days) and got the CEAC updated status from AP to Issued.

Now we have the wait for his Visa to get to him eventually and just pray the Currier doesn't loose it along the way.
