Oh my god. I could just fall to the ground and die right now.

I've been hoping for a christmas reunion with my wife, but today the nvc crushed that dream by sending me a checklist for my AOS papers.

We didn't fill out anything wrong, we just didnt check a couple boxes. And now I'm pissed. Such a 'little' mistake will keep me away from my wife another 2 months.I hate this.

Checklist!? Sorry to hear that. :crying:NVC shows no mercy to us! :dead:

I have lost all hope Sylvia. I don't think anything good can happen to us. We just keep getting at the back of line again and again.

I also hit every speed bump that I could think of at the NVC stage.

I had to wait for 42 days for the IV fee invoice for no reason. :bonk:

Guess what? :wow: Now they're invoicing it with the AOS fee!

What was the reason why they had to make us wait to pay the IV fee invoice again? :protest:

I called NVC yesterday after 7… after 20 tries got it … was on hold for 35 minutes.. Initially I was really scared because thought they lost my documents… these AOS reviewers sometimes separates the IV documents.. since handling 1,000’s of cases they might get lost in transit to another unit..

The rep checked my case… AOS is approved and DS-260 is fine… but few notes from case reviewer that’s why it landed in check list…

Marriage Certificate – Reviewer notes it’s a duplicate.. Need Original one… My marriage certificate from India is in black and white... with original color signature and blue seal of the county. They use low quality paper not like US certificates… Also India has two kinds of Marriage certificates… one for special marriage act in color stamp duty paper but without photographs.. and another one for marriage registered after religious ceremony black and white with copy of your photographs .. and the format is different for each state… I told them I send the original with AOS… it is the original and if I go to get another certified copy you will get the same black and white with original seal and signature because thats the format they use from 2011.

Applicant Birth Certificate – Reviewer noted inappropriate … Actually she was born in 90 and certificate was obtained in 99… state government implemented computer records for this birth and death certificates in the mid 2000’s… before that they type or write with pen on a color stamp Duty paper with seal and signatures… She was one of the few who had her certificates from 90's. I think after mid 2000’s they introduced a new format.. now most with people without original certificates can obtain the new one.. this is also printed on a color stamp duty paper… I mention the original was send with AOS

PCC- Missing… I already submitted 2 PCC’s (Passport Office, District police office). District police report only needed for immigration to middle east countries..

The rep name was Jack.. he said he doesn’t know which documents they reviewed… but He will putting a request for supervisor review…He said time frame depends on sup workload… but told me to call back after a week.. I didn’t get much energy to explain because I was distracted after hearing this.. I will call back again discuss the case status… The certificates are genuine…also in English… and I know few who already immigrated this year with these certificates.. I believe it depends on some reviewers or he/she reviewed something else L ….

My spouse will get another copy of Marriage certificate and birth certificate in new format… but it will take 1-7 days plus mailing and reviewing time… I wish to get CC in October … I am believing for a miracle…

I had a similar problem with a marriage certificate. I sent the original and they said it was not. I requested a supervisor review and in parallel sent a certified copy. About 4 weeks after the supervisor review was initiated, they closed the case. Did you request a supervisor review?

Hey, posting here too in case anyone can help. I know about false checklists but I'm really confused right now.

Ummmmmm. So I sent my AOS and IV packages (for the first time ever) on Tuesday. I got a "checklist" TODAY? I mean I am assuming it's a false one but is this normal????? I thought those happened when packages were approved. It says (sorry, putting it under a spoiler tag because it's super long):

Basically it says I'm missing the whole AOS and IV packages (which I clearly sent). I'll have my lawyer call later but I was just wondering if any had any insight on this here.

We reviewed the documents you submitted to us. This letter has a list of documents that are missing or
that need additional information. Please review the instructions and send us the required information. If
you do not provide this information, it will delay your immigrant visa interview.

I have lost all hope Sylvia. I don't think anything good can happen to us. We just keep getting at the back of line again and again.

Oh sweet heart I know how you feel, but what can we do but hold on a little longer! We can't give up now that we are so close and believe me if it was an option I would go back and live in Egypt with my husband and just let this all go. Let's keep trying Samreen let's not allow them to beat us down and drag us through the fire. I'm here for you when ever you need me and you can e-mail me when ever you wish about anything you want. Love you girl!!!! t5063.gif

Oh Soloenta... There you go again, being supportive and wonderful to everyone here, despite the fact that they are torturing you with all of these BS delays. You are a wonderful person and I wish I could call and yell at someone there for you. I'd do it in a minute!

Thanks for always finding the strength to stay positive for the team!

Awww your so kind and sweet and I thank you very much for thinking such lovely thoughts. I just know how everyone feels is all and how much we all need to just have a normal day. To reach out and touch our loved one or call their name and hear their voice answering us. Such little things that make life worth living. :) God bless you my sweet dear friend and Viva Chile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)t5063.gif

Thank you very much Soloenta. I really admire you for being so tough and optimistic. Wish I'm just like you coz I'm feeling so hopeless right now. Praying this whole process to end very soon for everyone of us.

Your very welcome but I wish I was strong, I feel in my heart all of you are going to get you CC then interview and Visa. Unfortunately I don't see it when it comes to us, I think it's normal to feel this way. We see everyone moving on except us so it's normal to be pessimistic yet hold hope that the rest of you will move on.

Your on my list so if it helps in anyway then thank God. I'm not a fanatic I never talk about my faith etc but I know we need to pray for each other right now because so many are in such deep pain. God willing and with his help we will prevail. t5063.gif

I have to ask, when was the last time your husband or you called NVC and what did they say. It seems all your waiting for is for the Demons to review your AOS or am I missing something? SOB's, I really hate them, I hope they burn in h e l l!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! t1940.gif
