I have been looking through K1 Guide, K1 Flow Chart and K1 Tips. While they are very useful, I have yet to find the part where it talks about fees that would occur once NOA2 is received (such as what they are for, how much, when and where to pay them). Can someone enlighten me with those information, or point me to the right direction?

I have also checked the Myanmar portal but unfortunately couldn’t find any useful information.

I am assuming there are charges for the following….

Medical Test

Interview

K1 Visa

AOS

Is there anything I am missing?

It would be helpful to know all of these so that I can take cash with me on my next trip. This way, my fiancée can use the USD to pay for those services at the embassy.

Thanks in advance.

Cool, this is great!

So, $265 + medical goes to the embassy, right?

And $1,070 should be paid in US, right? If that's the case, that's even better. For the AOS fee, do they only accept checks, or is it payable in credit card as well?

$265 for K1 and not sure how much for the medical but around the same price.

Once you file for AOS in the States its $1070

Yes, the $265.00 goes to the embassy, paid either in advance or on the day of the interview (varies from consulate to consulate). Medical fee should be paid to the USCIS approved doctor who will perform the medical, in your case (Myanmar) it should be (if I'm wrong, someone pls correct me):

The panel physician who performs the medical exams for immigrant visa cases in Rangoon is the International SOS Clinic at the Dusit Inya Lake Hotel, 37 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road. SOS Clinic's phone number is (95-1) 667-879.

The $1070.00 is to be paid in the US, after you get married and file for AOS (Adjustment of Status). (Make sure to apply for EAD and AP at the same time to avoid having to pay for them). It's best to be paid via check, that way you can actually see when they cash it so you can start expecting your NOA for AOS.

Its not cheap that's for sure. No they don't. That's why people sometimes wait a while to file that. Saving up in advance little by little is the way to go

Yes, that's exactly how it is. Only checks. The only way you could put it on your card i guess if you take cash advance and than get a bank check with that money but cash advance has a very high percentage so its not cheap at all.

And, just to make sure they get into your pockets at least one more time, don't forget about ROC (Removal of Conditions) 2 years after receiving the initial GC, currently $590 (since it's a K-1, it'll almost be a certainty that the initial GC will be a Conditional GC unless AOS takes an extremely long time and is issued after your 2 year wedding anniversary.)
