We are having our interview in less than 19 days and even when we have tried to be prepared there are certain things that we re not sure what to do with and i think the " what to do list after noa2 is outdated "

Beneficiary's Documents
- Birth Certificate Inextensa : done
- Police Certificate : done
- Passport : done
- Cedula (National ID Card) : done
- Medical Exam/Vaccination Results : waiting for package 4, can we used an email copy ? is it the same letter to be use for the medical ?
- Banco Popular receipts ($350-visa + $16)
Effective Friday June 04, 2010, the application fee for K visas for fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens will be $350, US$140 dollars to be paid at Banco Popular and US$210 to be paid in the Consular Section on the day of the interview.
- Two 2x2 photos (with name printed on the back) :::
????? is this current
- Letter of Intent (dated) : done , dated what does it mean ?
- DS-230 Part I (filled out and signed)
- DS-230 Part II (filled out - to be signed in front of CO)
- DS-156 (2 copies signed)
- DS-156K (1 copy to be signed in front of CO)
-DS-157 (for males only)

:::: i dont see the DS 260 there ! i as the beneficiary what form should i need to fill ???
-Cita appointment letter/packet : waiting for package 4

anyhelp would be appreciated plus what forms does the petitioner " american ' should fill/ bring !?

thanks in advance for the help

Congrats on your approval :dancing:

The first thing I would like to say is that you need to contact the embassy ASAP because you need certain letters from there for the medical and this needs to be done at least 5 business days before the interview. Im not sure if they respond quickly to emails.

Also the information you have provided is incorrect, the visa fee that you have stated are very old and they have recently changed the fees. For the banco popular I believe its 160 or something like that (someone correct me if I am wrong) and for the consulate visa fee I have recently read it was about 105. (again I am not sure about the exact number) but the ones that you have are incorrect.

You need 5 passport styles photos in total. 3 for the medical and 2 for the interview

For the letter of intent you basically have to provide the same letter of intent that you provided with your 129 packet but signed with a date close to the interview. It is a good idea to have this, even if they won't ask for it. but you never know.

as for the forms that you need to fill out, if this is for k-1, those forms are not needed anymore. the DS-160 have replaced many of those. Quoted from http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html

  • All visa applicants under the following categories (K1-K2, K3 and K4) must complete, electronically, the form DS-160 (on line Non-Immigrant Visa Application).

The DS-160 plus the form DS-156K are the only forms that you need to fill out for the visa interview if your are applying under the following categories: K-1, K-2, K-3 and K-4. These forms replace previous forms such as the DS-230, DS-156 and DS-157.

As soon as you complete the form DS-160, on-line, you will have to print out the confirmation page, which contains a bar code, and present this sheet on the day of the interview. It is not necessary to print out the entire application.

I actually just completed that form last night for my fiancé. Please use the website above to get the information correct.

The what to do aftr NOA2 is not outdated. The information here is updated very frequently and this page is the best thing ever and has helped me so much with my journey. Please follow all of the instructions here.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Dominican_Republic:_After_Receiving_the_NOA2

You as the petitioner, need these documents.

- I-134- Affidavit of Support (financial responsibility)

- Tax returns for (Last 3 years)

- Letter from Employer

- Recent pay stubs (last 3 months - 6 total)

- Bank account information

- Birth Certificate

- Passport

- Letter of Intent (dated and signed)

you might want to have all of these, but i don't think you need a letter of employer if you have ur recent pay stubs. The same for bank account information. This is necessary if yu have valuable assets and stuff.

Good Luck with the rest of your journey, I hope you get packet 4 very soon. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

Yes, what Stefani recommended.

Check this link from the US Embassy in DR, http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html it has the same instructions that the beneficiary will get in the mail.

The police report, certificado de Buena conducta expires in 30 days, so make sure it is not due before or around the day of the interview.

The DS-160 online, you need a digital copy of the 2x2 photos that you need to upload to complete that form. And yes, the 156K form has to be signed in front of the CO.

You said you have an email copy? what email? I got my packet IV via email and its the same as the one you will get by Dominican postal service, I used that one for the medical exam at the consultorios de visa and for the bank. The Consultorios de visa recommend to do the medical 15 days before the day of the interview. Does the beneficiary has the actual interview letter?? it says the day and hour of the interview.

The petioner has to fill out form I-134, and need to have on hand the W2, IRS, bank statements, etc (read the I-134 instructions), check the Visajourney's guides tab. Also more evidence since the application date to closer to the interview. Just in case.

If you do not have the packet IV, either by email or Dominican postal service, call the US Embassy first thing Monday morning, and explain that you have a interview date but no packet IV.

Anything else ask us :)

The 156k you can fill it out but it has to be signed in front of the consul.

Personally, I would call the US Embassy.....since your interview day is 15 days away. The email can take more than 2-3 days, sometimes people waited a week for a reply. Pay the pin at banco popular and call. You will get an answer faster.

Good luck!

You dont need to wait until medical to do ds-160.

For the medical need 3 photos 2x2 .

For interview 2 photos also.

If they sent you an e-mail with the beneficiary name, case number and interview date that is packet 4, with that she can pay at banco popular and do medical.

Remember that for medical she need come back to pick up the results.

i did and they sent me an email with the package like 6 hours after i called !! ill print the 156k then ill sign it in front of the consul !

If you have a e-mail with the interview date , that is the pakect 4, you can use that to do the medical.

the one that has the interview date is not hte one that says i should take to do the medical ! should i take both ?

You dont need to wait until medical to do ds-160.

The letter doesnt say thay you should take it to medical.

the letter say only your name , case number and interview date, with that letter you pay at banco popular and do medical.

Dont be waiting a letter where they say to you do the medical, never the letter say do medical.

Ds-160 can be fill out any time once you know case number.

I paid banco popular one month before interview and filled out ds-160 one month before interview also.

I advise you , if they sent you an e-mail from embassy with the beneficiary name, case number and interview date that is packet 4, do the medical and dont waste time waiting

If your daugter doesnt go with you now, first finish your process then start her process.

You say that she is join later, so dont be stresss now thinking in that, finish your process and when you be at usa start to learn about her process.
