NVC Lost my case in the system

I-129F was approved in Jul and sent it out to NVC after a week. NVC confirmed that they got it after 10 days and asked me to wait 30 business days when I followed up with USCIS SRC number. Two weeks ago, NVC could not find my SRC number anymore in their system and they now told me that they did not have any record of receiving this petition from USCIS. I sent email to NVCResearch@state.gov. They came back with the letter saying that they have never received this case from USCIS and asked me to contact USCIS. When I called USCIS, they told me that they have already sent it and they can't resend it again. Another person from USCIS told me that USCIS will involve only after 90 days from the date the application was sent out. Another person from USCIS told me that that policy does not apply on I-129F. Another person from USCIS told me that to mail to Taxes service center to follow up. Another person told me that I need to file Form I-824 to resend it to NVC. But when I looked at 824, I do not see I-129F was listed in order to use this form. Please help!!!!!... This happened after waiting for almost 10 months. Really bad!!!!! I don't know what to do anymore....????

I am also trying to see if my fiancé can come with visit visa while we are solving this issue. Is this possible?

What a rotten piece of luck. I hope that things turn around for you.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This is what we get as a best service after paying so much tax from our paycheck every two weeks. I am really embarrassed when I talked about this as a US citizen to tell how our depts. work.

Welcome the forum.

That is not entirely correct. FYI, USCIS depends on the fees paid by the applicants to fund these programs, and is not primarily dependent on taxpayer funding. The obvious question then is.... You want to pay higher fees for quicker service? Get out your checkbook!

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Definitely, a lot of people want to pay double if they can process all the case faster. When they say, 3 months, it took 6 months. They lost a lot documents when I read on the forum. Money is not the issue, I guess. Other, countries process faster and charge less. I guess our immigration is just busy with all illegal immigrants from TX.

And imagine what will happen when Obama will sign some kind of law to allow that multi million people to legalize. All immigration officer will be busy with that and legal people will have to wait.

Now a days it is more convenient to become illegal :(

Ramesh, this happened to me also. NVC said they have not received my approved i-130 from Atlanta USCIS office and Atlanta USCIS said they have already sent it 2 days after approval. I wasted 4 months emailing and calling. They will ask me to wait for 3 or 4 weeks. But nothing happened. Finally i contacted my senator's office and they asked me to give all my original i-130 papers copies of all papers i send then to begin with and the approval letter. They forwarded it to NVC and NVC received them in 4 days. So do that. Contact your senator’s office they have a liaison to work from NVC and USCIS.

The best advice is contact the senator for your state. sign the release they give you and call them and give them your story. I have used a senator in my cse and they are the only one making the process go forward. The senator helped me beyond measure :D

We have been away from each other almost a year and our engagement anniversary is coming soon. As I mentioned NVC lost our case and I have contacted Senator office. But almost two weeks and they are also waiting from USCIS. I want to know if I can invite her and her parents for visit and spend time with me on the anniversary of engagement, Thanksgiving, Christmas and new year. Definitely she will have to go back and wait for K1 case from her country. Do you think the counselor will grantee visit visa? She has job, bank account and investment. Please feel free share your opinion.

One more thing, I want to ask, if our K1 approved letter expire (normally they give 4 months), what should we do (while we are working with Senator office to find a case)?

Thanks.
