Curious: How long from your i130 PD to RFE - if any?

Hi all!

I am just curious as to if you received an RFE, how long did it take from your Priority Date to when you actually received it?

Better to never get one, but if you do.. I guess you can look at the bright side as that it is a sign that they are actually touching your case...

So I got curious about it, anybody want to share? If you were sent to Nebraska, all the better as that is where my application is sitting right now.

NSC filer here, PD 03/24/2014 & RFE was mailed to me on 08/26/2014 (approx 5 mos & 2 days). I received the letter in my hand on 08/30/2014

There's no way to gauge timelines for RFE. You get an RFE only when they get to your case,. I have seen some get them right up front (nice Adjudicator I guess) I have had friends that during this long wait got RFE 9, 10, 12 months later that's when their case was looked at.

Why would you think you would get an RFE?

I am not trying to get a timeline and I dont think I will get an RFE. Just curious, as mentioned in my question. :luv:

That is kind of what i thought - that they get the RFE only when their case gets looked at. 10, 12 months... that is just terrible. :clock:

I hope that helps.

I hope you don't get an RFE. It really sucks. I see lots of people who filed at the same time that i did and are already at the NVC step.

Hi SofiWats, you are WAY ahead of me! you filed in february while I just got my PD last month. I will probably be approved by Jan or Feb 2015. I am hopeful and keep a good spirit.

It sucks that you got an RFE, but you got transferred and that is generally a good sign. I am sure that you will be approved soon. Somebody looked at your case at last - and you already submitted the reply from what I can see. Good luck!!!
