My wife went to the local police office in bacoor to get her police records. Is that ok or does she need police record from NBI?

She dont need to go NBI just to get her police clearance. NBI and police was not they samm.

She need both of them. For CR-1 or IR-1 process.

The police clearance from PNP is NOT what you want or need.

For the Philippines, you need the nbi, on green paper for travel abroad. You get this from NBI.

If she has spent more than 6 months in another country, she will need a police clearance from that country.

NBI and local police clearance is not the same.

You can't get an nbi from nso.

Local police record is of no value, the embassy wants the NBI for Travel Abroad.

embassy does not want a police certificate (except from a foreign country), the want the NBI.

NVC needs the NBI also, not a local police certificate.
