I believe you can even do it 2 months before. It's just that you will have to enter the US, before you hit the 6months mark from your medical exam.

My medical exam is 2weeks before my interview :)

Yes they do. In my case, I did the 2 days medical then the next day was my interview. They actually asked when would be the interview, so I told them it would be the next day, so they just let me have the result and I was the one who gave it to the US embassy. But I must say that you could not take the result with you if there will be health issues. I was so glad that everything went well (no problems). But anyways, yours will be a week prior to your interview, so I think it will still be St. lukes who will forward your result to the US embassy. Hope this helps. Edited by Ronny_Cari

Yes you can do the interview 2 months before your interview. My fiancee did her medical in July finished in one day and her interview is scheduled for September 10th.

Now that the medical is finished the 6 months count down for her visa has begun, but she has her interview next week yeah!! After one year of being a part, we are just maybe weeks away from finally being together again!!!

I wish everyone good luck on their journey!!!

Two weeks is absolutely no problem. They tell you at least one week, but some get confused and think more than one week is no good. One week is only the minimum. More than one week is just fine. Some people did two months and had no problem.

The one thing you don't want to do is go during your period. That will interfere with the physical exam and will contaminate the urine specimen. This is a good reason to go two weeks before because if your period comes up unexpected, you now have time to wait until it is over.
