Case expedited at NVC. Need advise

Hello All,

My case has been with the NVC since May. My daughter in India had an accident and I requested an expedite. I supplied the NVC with the hospital proofs/bills. They approved the expedite and my case is now with the New Delhi embassy. I had submitted by DS 261 and I864. I had not done anything else.

I have been reading about next steps for expedite. I have called up the US Embassy in New Delhi but I get redirected to their call center. My wife received an email stating that she could go for medicals but we do not have an appointment letter. I will be calling up the embassy and call center again.

I downloaded the packet 4 information from the New Delhi webiste. I see the following statement:

PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP: We strongly suggest that all applicants bring extensive documentary evidence of the relationship between the petitioner and the primary beneficiary and between the primary beneficiary and any derivative beneficiaries. Failure to do so could delay your application while your application is scrutinized. Some examples of such evidence are family and other photographs (old and recent) showing the parties’ together, letters, cards, correspondence, and telephone records.

I have provided evidence of relationship to the USCIS. I also recieved an RFE requesting additional proof. I sent all that proof over and my RFE was approved. Do I still have to take additional evidence? I am not sure what additional evidence I should take at this point when they have everything in my visa packet.

Any other advise is appreciated.

when did you sent the expedite request to NVC ? in May also ?

Even though you already submitted your relationship evidence with the petition, it's still recommended that whatever was submitted also be hand carried to the interview. You never know if a CO will ask to see it or not.
