I-864 primary sponsor change of address

I'm the USC primary sponsor for my wife. We're still at the NVC stage waiting for my AOS checklist to be reviewed. I'm scheduled to move on October 1st.

The instructions say to file an I-865 within 30 days of moving "if I've ever completed an I-864". Well, I completed and signed an I-864 months ago but NVC still has not approved my AOS package.

Do I need to file an I-865 change of address form with USCIS?

... before the AOS is even accepted?

... before my wife's IV interview at the embassy?

... before she becomes a permanent resident at POE?

Would USCIS even know about my I-864 contract before that last step?

I think it's safe to say my wife's interview will be scheduled for after my move ( ). In that case, can I simply forget about the I-865 and give her a new I-864 with my new address to take to the interview? That would seem more logical.

My worry is I did sign and date a contract stating I would file an I-865 within 30 days of a change of address. I don't want to break this contract.

Sounds logical to me to turn in a new one at interview. I vote for that option. And what about address where she will live and the greencard will be sent. Got that worked out too?

That will be the same new address. I don't recall if we declared her future US residential and mailing address anywhere on the DS-260? I guess maybe she will need to correct this at the interview as well?

Yes turn in a new I-864 at interview with the updated address. She can also update her address with the CO. And then double check everything is right when she enters the USA with the CBP.

Thanks! Hopefully she gets an October interview because I would feel funny about not filing an I-865 within 30 days of moving.

Update: My wife had her interview in London this morning and was approved.

I gave her an updated I-864, identical to the one I submitted to NVC aside from my new address. I asked her to hand this in at the interview. They did not want to take it. They updated her green card mailing address on their computers but, as the I-864 petitioner, I suppose I now need to submit an I-865 change of address notice to USCIS.

I'm not really sure if I should do this now or after her POE. I don't know when USCIS becomes aware of comes into possession of the I-864 I originally submitted to NVC. Does anyone know?
