Fiance had his interview on July 25, 2014 in Kingston Jamaica. They said everything was ok but I was below the poverty guidelines by $500 so they gave him a 221g asking for i-864 for joint sponser. They receive the documents on 08/4/2014. We are still stuck in Administrative processing. I email them every Monday with no case specific information.

I hope so too.it just a depressing situation. I think the delay has to do with the system issues they had. Do ur status say immigrant or non- immigrant? Heard when it change to non- immigrant it will Chang to issue soon.

My fiance was refused a year ago but became eligible again Aug 1. He was told he could not get his medical until he became eligible. They gave him an interview date Aug 8 as well. Due to emancipation day Aug 1, he couldn't get his medical done until Aug 4. Due to the fact he didn't have his medical, he was given a 221g. We got the packet Aug 12 and sent it by courier Aug 13. They acknowledged receipt of the packet Aug 15. I emailed them that same day asking why his status says refused. I got an email back following Mon Aug 18 stating he was in administrative review and they couldn't tell me how long the process would take. I emailed them again this past Fri Aug 22 asking what could possibly take so long to review a medical packet? I got an email back from them again today but something was different about the email. This time it was from the consular section stating that they're are reviewing all the information relative to the case and it could take 2-3 weeks and they requested I don't contact them again until after 3 weeks if I haven't seen a change.

Talk about frustrating! In no way am I making light of anyone elses situation, nor saying mines worse, just agreeing that a lot of us are frustrated. I was upset when they gave him an interview date too soon to have his medical but the consular gave him every reason to believe he would be approved when the packet arrived. Such a sinking feeling when you check visa status and it still says refused. I wish they would at least change it to AP

Mines says non-immigrant but just stuck on "ready". Im just confused cause it never went to AP. Straight to non immigrant "ready". I really hope this is over soon.

Praying for you both that u soon get the visa issued message! I can imagine how frustrated you must be to be so close yet on hold :(
