Fill up ds-160 and print the confirmation. Pay your visa in bpi, bring your ds-160 in the bank cause I've seen other k1 filer who's posting that the bank is looking for ds-160 confirmation. Then set your interview and do your medical

Hank has a great guide that I recommend you read and follow as it will answer most of your "what's next" questions. It can be found here: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/

Start with the tab NVC - USEM Process

Return here and start a topic if you have specific question. Don't forget "Google can be your best friend" and also at the top of the blog there is a search box and it to will give you a lot of history to any question you will have.

Good luck

Not sure why you got an invoice number (forget about it), the MNL # is the key to getting everything done.

Yes you can not pay the visa fee, schedule the interview and complete the medical.

Details in my link below, follow the flashing arrow.

You can do the DS-160 anytime before the interview.

Congratulations. We got our MLN# last night as well. My fiancé will finally pick up her passport next week on the 28th...then hopefully will get an appointment...

Good luck to you!

Don't be discouraged if ustraveldocs says no appointments available. Lately they have been getting pretty overwhelmed. If you see that, just go back the next day and every day thereafter untl you see an open slot and then take it.

Medical can be done as late as one week before interview, but if you are already in Manila, two to three weeks and maybe even 4 weeks would be a better choice. If the applicant is a lady make sure to not do the medical during your period. One of the advantages of allowing more than 1 week is if your period takes you by surprise, you can simply wait until it is over and then go.

There are not been appointment issues in weeks now, I believe half of September is still open.

Can we make an appointment even if our package of paperwork isn't at the embassy yet? I assume it will take a little time to get there.

Just wondering if appointments are still available the last week of September when I log on to get one, if I should take it, or wait for early October?

How many weeks should I schedule the appointment from today getting my MNL # over the phone?

Yes you can make your appointment before the case file has arrived.

If you schedule your appoint about 4-5 weeks out from getting your MNL # the case file should be at USEM and ready by the interview. Towards the end of September would be fairly safe. Rarely NVC will hold a case file for further review, but that is the exception not the rule. Just check online for your status before the interview.

Plenty of dates still available for September. They have now gotten through those who were fast tracked so for now no problem.
