Some Questions About Form N-400.

Hi everyone, I am working on my Form N-400 and I have some questions about it. I am hoping to find some helps here. Thank you so much.

About Part 8. Time outside the United States:

1.Provide the total number of days you spent outside the U.S during the last 5 years. But I am applying for citizenship through marriage to my U.S spouse for 3 years,do I provide the total number of days I spent outside the U.S during the last 5 years or the last 3 years(I became a permanent resident 3 years ago)?

Same as question 2 and 3 of Part 8,do I provide information during the last 5 years or the last 3 years?

Hi there,

The way i did it was for the ;ast 3 only...and I also applied based on the 3 year rule.

As you probably already saw, the same form asks in one of the sections if you are applying based on marriage to a US citizen...I think that alone will tell the officer checking the form the # of years of information required..(this also applies to the tax return scripts)
