Interview was Dec. 14.

My fiance did not receieve a 221g paper. The consular told him she was not going to give him a visa that day....they are doing an " investigation to determine his visa eligibility "

whatever that means. No security or name check. My guess is a document check ...

who knows....waiting 1 month and 1 week now !!!!

My spouse got his on Sept. 19. 2006 for the K-3 interview.....He asked the CO what is administrative processing and was told that he would find out when he called him back. So the case is still under administratve processing. However, he has another interview scheduled very soon for the CR1 but we were told that a visa would not be issued until the adminstravite b/s is complete. I don't get them.

I got this email from casablanca consulat says " ****'a case requires administrative processing in Washington, DC. We will notify her as soon as we can continue with the case".

bye the way i had interview in 1 novembre 2007 ( application K1- visa fiance) and it was positive and they kept my passport, however there was an issue regading document translation. i was given form 221G ..i corrected this and gave the correct document translation.

i was contacted again to return to consulate to fill out form DS157 which i has done.

so, now am still waiting, and waiting...

THIS IS AP, we should WAIT

My SO had his interview in Ankara, Turkey on July 16, 2007. He was denied because of a previous overstay when in the US. We filed the waiver on August 16, 2007 which was sent to Greece. It has been 5 months so far.

Has anyone gone through the American Embassy in Greece for a waiver? and how long did it take?

Thanks

We are now on AP going on 3 days and it already feels like an eternity. I hate seeing the cases that go on for months, it is so upsetting and discouraging. We submitted more evidence of our relationship to the consulate and we are waiting to hear from him, he says "sometime late next week" which I dont believe for one minute. It also scares me to see how many submitted more evidence, and it didnt matter, they got sent back to the US anyway. It is sad to see that because of all the people who DONT have legitimate relationships, it makes it harder for those of us who DO. I just hope we are not at the beginning of what is going to be a VERY long wait. Somewhere in the back of my mind I am holding on to hope that the consulate officer will change his mind to send our case back to the US once he sees our new evidence, probably foolishly, but as for now, its the only hope Ive got.

GOOD LUCK to everyone out there going through this, with love and dedication, we WILL get through this.

I just had a meltdown with the DOS visa specialist...

I called this morning from work (I'm a receptionist)..Waited for 15 minutes and was totally fine. But when someone came on the line, all of sudden began to cry....Totally unexpected on my part...

However, my tearful voice had a softening effect on the visa specialist (who at first sounded rude).

I wanted to know if my husband travelling to see me in a few months time (we must meet in India or Thailand) would require more administrative processing.
