No,you have a valid greencard and are allowed to travel.

As soon as you are back in the USA, file for divorce and once done, Removal of Condition on your greencard with a divorce waiver.

And one more thing what if he cancels his affidative of support will I get. Problems at the us boder?

He can't cancel the I-864 since you already gotten the conditional Green Card.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

your question has been answered, what i will add is that, in general, adjusting to the system in the usa from another country is difficult, things work differently and its stressful. i would say u can try to work it out when u return, that's if u want to, if it doesn't work out, that's ok. but i think divorce shouldnt be the first option when difficulties arise. if he doesn't want u and it wont work out, then it's better to be safe.

PA2013 your choice of word was very poor to describe ABUSE! She said he beat her up,and you called this "difficulties"? are you serious? Please let's get a bit more educated about domestic violence, and not to call abuse "difficulties".

if its indeed abuse, she's been beaten etc. u've made an indisputable point.

but what i ask myself is, this didn't happen till green card was received?

We don't know enough details to know if it's one time or many and what might have set hubby off to start the abuse later in marriage but I could think of a wide variety of triggers. It doesn't matter from our perspective why, all that matters is that it's abuse...period....and no one should be hit even once.

OP: agree with the above poster: come back, divorce and then removal of conditions with divorce waiver.

I do recommend that if he hits you again, you need to call the police and get a restraining order against him.

He finds an excuse that I didn't clean the house well or didn't cook dinner (sometimes he's not home till very late so he eats out and comes back and still attacks me for not cooking when I asked him if I should cook and he said no) his mom also gets involved and all they say i don't clean the house well and his mom even said something about me being black at one Pinot and she didn't really want her son marrying a black it's terrible I almost lost it at one piont plus he cheats all the time I've seen him post adds on craiglist for a prostitute to come so he can sleep with her and pay her whiles I was at his moms visiting I saw the message and post on his phone and he leaves the house for 1 week never calls or text will never answer my calls and comes home drugged up and get moods swings and start attacking me for the littlest thing ever and threaten to throw me out and make me homeless

thanks for shedding light on your situation ...

no one deserves to be treated this way.

if u have evidence of these things happening, it makes it easier for u to remove conditions yourself.

u should divorce for your own safety.
