i am getting paranoidand i admit ....

so i was reading post regarding additional documents, i just realized no 221g form was given to me. the man at window 72 gave back my letter of appointment w/ the que number and gave me NSO form (birth/marriaeg/cenomar), instructed me to fill it up, i then gave it back to him, he wrote my case number in each form and he checked it and asked me to bring it to NSO pasay and gave me a long bond paper indicating location/sketch NSO pasay and the two other way i can request for the documwnt. he then told me, that he emailed me regarding the documents they need. i went to NSOpasay right after i got out of the embassy. i showed to the lady my appointment letter & the long bondpaper but she didn't attach it to any of my request...she just said it will be sent to the embassy..

did anybody here who just went into this situation ..... i don't want anymore delays...and if ever atleast i can rush to NSO pasay tomorrow to give whatever shoul be attached to the forms....

pls anyone....

That was a 221g; the request for additional documents is a 221g. The 221g isn't a form, it is a letter or even an email requesting additional documents.

You can already expect delays as it takes weeks for AP (review of additional documents).

Please post this in only one thread.

I will answer your question just as I have from your other thread.

USEM will send an official request to NSO for the documents that you need. NSO will comply with the request and USEM will pick them up on Fridays for all the requests from earlier in the week (yours and others). Come Monday they will begin processing and matching the "new" documents to your file. Once that step is completed, then your file is sent onto the CO for their review. If they are satisfied then they will approve your visa. Then the visa is processed. About two weeks you will begin to see updates on ceac for your visa. Once it goes to ISSUED then you should see it in about 5 to 10 business days. Remember, these are normal processing times and process's and your actual experience may be different. By all means don't buy plane tickets till you have the visa in your hands!!!!!!

This is from personal experience

Yeah, my husband called last 2 weeks ago, and the lady that she talked to told him to call again after another 2 weeks, she said it's for final decision, but as we checked the status, the updated dates don't change. How many weeks have been under AP? :)

From my experience, the call center people that you get when you call know NOTHING. It's almost like they pull up the CEAC site, and read you the contents.

I used the "Calling from the US" number. I want to say it was a 713 area code.

If you use 632 301-2000 then press 0 then tell them to connect you to the fiancee visa section or Immigrant visa section then you can talk to a lady there and she can open yhe file and tell you the status update. And you will notive the the status updated date is changed to the date that you called

Wow good for you.. Congrats! Mine is for final decision yet but looks like they havent touched my files again yet because the daye didnt change and I worked in KSA before so it could be another reason ofnthe delay, thay might be doing background checks or security check, just my thoughts . I just hope tobhave my visa issued the soonest. Feels frustrating that me and my husband can't be together for our 1st year wedding anniversary. :(
