A lot of consulates require 125%, even with the I-134. The answer is yes. Assets need to be at least 3 times the amount you are short on income. So, if you need $20k and only make $15k, then you are short $5k and need a bare minimum of $15k in assets. Provide proof of ownership and value of assets.

The I-864 instructions have details about using assets, so you can read those, even though using the I-134 for the K-1 interview. You will need the I-864 after you are married and filing for AOS.

Thank you. How long do you have after you are married to file for perm. residence for your spouse?

Normally, most people try to get the green card processing started as soon as they can.

Check out these 2 links. Should answer many of your questions.

Thank you. How long do you have after you are married to file for perm. residence for your spouse?

If you marry within 90 days of entry with the K-1, then there is no deadline to be eligible to file for AOS. However, you will become out of status and accruing unlawful presence when the I-94 expires. Once you file for AOS, you are then in a new period of authorized stay.
