Hi everyone! We just got our interview scheduled for September 5th.

I just want to ask if it's okay if we do the medical one month before the interview?

Did anyone here had their medical a month or more before their interview date?

Thank you.

you can do the medical anytime you want. they say to do it at least a week before, so they have time to get the results to the embassy.

the only concern is that the visa validity is tied to the medical, so if you do it 5 months before the interview, youve only got a month after the interview to get to the states. know what i mean?

so, yeah, go do the medical so you can stop worring about it. ;)

I did my medical a month (5 weeks actually) before my interview, just because of the sputum scare. :D No issue at all. Make sure you don't have your period when you have your medical and if you don't have any minor visa applicant with you, I would recommend going there on a Thursday.

Pre-register here: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Requirements: http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

As Bendinlar noted, the pinned SLEC walkthrough thread does have detailed info on the medical test procedure [except for the cost, it's not updated].

All the best!

Going early has little to do with completing the medical in one day.

My mistake I should have said if you are one of the first ones through the door and you have no issues with your medical exam, you might be able to do all in one day.

It was a long day for my fiancée though!!!! Lol!!!

Im wondering if its still too early. Been waiting for the DS-260 since last week...but thats all I have left to do on my part

Where are you in the process? Do you have any idea if you are nearing case complete soon? If so, I think you can have your medical in advance.

You just have to bear in mind that the visa validity is tied up with the date of the medical, which is just 6 months.
