Have had arrests in past

Hello,

I am applying for a US visitor visa.

The thing is that I have had 2 arrests in past.

One when I was 17 and one was when I was 18. This was like 20 years ago.

I was found not guilty on both charges by the courts.

Does this poses an issue with the visa processing? And any other guidelines or tips would be much appreciated.

All I am going to say is that Tourist Visas are pretty hard to get in the States.

What country? Arrests for what?

For certain countries tourist visas denial rates are as little as 2%, so the above statement is not correct.

Depending on what country & arrests is correct

however U would have to take court papers, show

its non-violent, good job for yrs, character ref letter

proof of strong ties to return home, reason for visit

and a strong argument convincing the CO and even

then there R no gaurantees

I am from India.

The arrests could be categorized as violent.

I did got a full judgement copy from the court and it gives me a clean image.

PS: I do qualify on all other grounds. I have my own business which is going good. I have strong family ties here and I have enough bank balance and immovable assets etc.

If you were found not guilty on both charges as you stated, then certified copies of the court disposition papers should be sufficient to satisfy any questions regarding the arrests.
