Hello All,

I hope that someone can help or advise here. I'm Egyptian American, lives in NYC. I have applied for I129F and received the receipt on January, 27th, 2014 and since then my case is still pending and on "Initial Reviews" state.

Is there anyone experiencing the same issue? is there anything can be done? i have tried to call the USCIS many times but have not got an answer except just to wait and be patience.

PLEASE HELP

Thanks

If you look at the VJ timeline page http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ you'll see the Texas service center is just now working on K-1's with your NOA1 date. It shouldn't be long now.

It's gonna look just like that until TSC finally decides to approve your petition.

Thank you Caryh. I see that but on the official USCIS site still shows they are working on December of last year. Is the Visa Journey processing time is more accurate?

i hope so dude. i don't understand why it is taking that long. I have a lot of friends applied after men but to different service center and they have got approved already. Do you know why it is taking too long and what procedure have they been through? Also, how long it will take more after that?

Thank you and hope yours will be done soon too

Visa Journey is based on actual users reporting here. It doesn't mean everyone who applied by that date has gotten their decision though, but they have started receiving decisions. The USCIS services centers are slow to update their current status. And if they fall behind their published date, people can start putting in service requests and getting their congressmen and senators involved, so they tend to keep the published date a bit conservative. Basically so long as you don't fall outside the norm, you should see a decision within the month and possibly much sooner.

No one knows why TSC is significantly slower than CSC.

That is the million dollar question for just about everyone. I hear the Egypt embassy is pretty tough and the wait long. Right now the visa issuance system is messed up to, and the ability to issue approved visas is delayed. To get an idea what your next steps will be like and how long, visit the regional forum that covers Egypt.

Unfortunately this isn't a linear process. Just because the guy who filed before you gets approved today, that doesn't mean you'll get approved tomorrow!

You can contact your Senator/Congressman, some people seem to have some success with that. The only thing you can do is wait, and wait, and wait. This WILL happen for you, there's just no way of knowing when.

However, please please please don't make any firm wedding plans before your fiancee has the visa in her passport! There's lots of stories of people on here who book things and then have to cancel them, losing lots of money :(
