Hi, me and fiance are about to file I-129f and I have a few questions.

1: what's the difference between filing it to Dallas Texas and Lewisville Texas?

2:what's the difference between ''U.S.postal service'' and ''express mail and courier deliveries''?

I'm sorry to ask you these basic questions but im really confused about it and I wanna do it right.

Hope someone give me answers.

Good luck for everyone who is doing this too!!

The difference is basically just your delivery service of choice. Use the Dallas TX address if you're using USPS (note it's a PO box). Otherwise, if sending through other courier services (via Fedex, DHL, etc), use the Lewisville TX address. http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses

Both end up ultimately in the same department of uscis handling the I-129f.

I sent my petition USPS certified mail to the Dallas TX lockbox address on Monday. They should receive it today. If you are using Fed Ex they need a physical address. (the Lewisville TX one).

I just mailed my forms today with Priority USPS delivery for Saturday.....the next several months are going to be difficult!

Why? You will probably get your NOA2 in a few weeks from CSC.

BTW, might as well change it in your timeline now so you don't forget later :).

(Minnesota goes to CSC...you simply mailed to the Texas lock box..not TSC)

Good Luck on your journey.

Not trying to be picky, just helpful for all the others waiting on this process and dutifully checking Igor's list. Your timeline will assist Igor's list in compiling the most up to date information. I see in your information below your picture that you listed 'Texas Service Center'. If you did not already receive your NOA1 via text or hard copy, you should remove that item because you have not yet been assigned a service center. You did submit it to the Texas lockbox, but that is just an intake facility.

Once received at the lockbox, you will get a confirmation of NOA1 (I-797) saying they have accepted it and have routed it to one of the two service centers that process I-129F (Texas - TSC and California - CSC) the lockbox is NOT a service center. If you signed up for email/text alerts you will know before you receive the letter in the mail.

If your receipt number starts with SRC you were assigned to Texas. If your receipt number begins with WAC you were assigned to California. Once you receive that receipt number you can correctly update your timeline and service center location here on your timeline :)

FYI.. Texas service center is running at 5.5 months+ waiting period from NOA1->NOA2, California is at 30-60 days roughly.

Good luck to you!
