Hey everyone,

Me and my SO received our NOA2 on June 18 and I decided to start calling the NVC to check whether or not it had been forwarded to them starting July 2.

Every day since July 2 when I call, there's a myriad of reasons as to why the call can't connect ...

On July 2, I was put on hold by the automated operator for 30+ minutes. I was at work, and waited as long as I could.

Every day after that, the line has either been busy, or drops before connecting to the automated operator. Each day since the 2nd, I haven't been able to even get that far.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are there other numbers I can call? Is there some sort of intense backlog at the NVC that would actually cripple their phone system for several days in a row? I'm so confused. >:

I agree you have to keep calling you will get a busy signal. Just hang up and hit redial. Keep doing that until you reach an automated voice thanking you for calling NVC. Then prepare to be on hold for about 30 to 45 minutes.

The best time to call is in the morning when they first open for business. That's what I did I called around 7:58 am est no busy signal and I was only on hold for 30 minutes.

Keep trying you will get through. Good luck to you all!!!

Yes this is pretty much everyone's experience. What you have to do when calling is keep dialing repeatedly one right after the other until you connect. Don't hang up and then try back later. If you have the time keep dialing over and over and over. That's what worked for me anyway. Then when you connect just be prepared to wait on hold. Don't hang up! I only held for 20mins so I guess I got lucky. In the end it's all worth it to hear your number! :) good luck!

I'm not sure for K-1s, but CR-1s usually call to get their NVC case number and then again to get confirmation of document receipt (AOS packet, IV packet) and their case complete status.

I'm past NVC now, but I also posted about this last months...basically it was nearly impossible to get through...

thankly NVC processing was short and quick...so I didn't have to sweat it too much.

Give it about 10 to 14 days for NVC processing to complete...

I've done this for almost 6months, AS SOON AS THE CALL CENTER OPEN START CALLING....OF YOU HEAR A BUSY SIGNAL IMMEDIATELY HANG UP AND DIAL AGAIN.TIMES I GET THROUGH THE SIXTH ATTEMPT.....lucky number for me or something.... AVERAGE WAIT TIME 2minutes to 40. There are times I feel asleep waiting and the rep woke me up, I work overnight and call ads soon as I clock out in the morning... walk home, tidy up, lady down and still on hold. Just tryna let you see that you gotta get immune to this stuff, and if you have a strict job or answer phones as I do don't call them cause its always the time my job phone rings off the hook they answer....lol but, it's normal to a point almost every rep knows who I am cause I called spoke top someone 3times a days to stay on top of my husbands case...boy are they happy I'm gone
