SSN with my married name

Hey everyone... So I got my social security number with my maiden name right when I first came in, in order to be added to my husbands insurance, we got everything else taken care of so my married name is in everything... Now the problem is I tried to get a new SS card with my married name and I haven't heard back from them, I went down twice... I can't get any other form of ID because I need my EAD card... Is this the case with the SSN?

Wait until you get the EAD or GC and then change the name on your SSN.

They can do it without it, but many of them don't know how and send off for verification.

Just use your maiden name SSN until them. The number will be the same. Good luck.
