Hi everyone!! :D

So my husband is here illegally from Mexico. Long story short, we filed the I-601 waiver on 01/22/2014, and just received the approval notice on 06/20/2014. I am curious as to what our next step is.

From my understanding, we have to wait until the consulate is notified by the processing center, and they will contact us with his appointment in Mexico. Does anyone know if that is the case or not? I just fear sitting around waiting for months, only to find out we were supposed to call and make an appointment or something of that nature. I am signed up for alerts when there are any changes in the case through USCIS, and normally it tells me in the case status what the next steps are, but I didn’t receive anything, and when I check their website with the receipt number, it says it’s still in “Acceptance” status, so no help there.

Thanks in advance for any input you can give!!!

The Embassy sends a waybill through DHL....sign up for the 601 waiver journey on Facebook or look at the immigrate2us forum and those people know more details...you can email the embassy in Mexico also and ask them.

i did received my waiver approved on january 24

after that i sent my affidavit of support (last 3 yrs of taxes ,original (certified copy) of marriage ,birth certificates of both and children(if you have) letter from petitioner's work (just explaining how long you r been working there, how much they pay you what's your position etc..) mexican passport of him ... all this documents you can send them to NVC via email and make the petition of the visa and pay for it, they will take like 4 weeks to give u a response but can contact them by ohone as many times you want as soon as they closed your case they will send all this info to the consulate in mexico, you can keep calling NVC to check if you have received an appoinment as soon as they have one available for you they will let you know and you will receive a notice via email and via mail (this one comes like a week after the email )

and then you follow the instructions in that letter bring all the same documents to your interview (original) and 2 passport pics, try to be in mexico 2 -3 day before interview to get your medical exam, then you have to go to an office called CAS to get another biometrics before interview to
