K1 visa in AP for 5 months ! Need Help !

Hello...

My interview was on January 6,2013.

No new from the embassy now.

They gave me 221g and ticked on the box " in administrative process ".

They did not ask no further information from me .

I am so worried .

It is 5 months now .

I don't know what went wrong .

The embassy did not tell me anything .

Please help !!!!

There is nothing you can do when your visa is under Administrative Processing. Just wait and keep on eye in case they ask you some specific documents. There was a guy here on AP about 3 years and 8 months.

you said interview was january 2013, that would be 17 months ago, not 5 months.

I am not very familiar with the "no status" update. You should really hear something from the consulate, so you'll know what you need to do next. Have you tried calling the embassy aside from sending them an email?

For some countries like MENA countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan, or India, an Administrative Processing is a mandatory. The guy is from Pakistan. From what I read here so far, there is nothing can do about AP. That's the embassy authority that you have no right to questioned about. They can issued or denied your visa. It is not a personal issue. It is more a security reason. From my perspective, I understand why they strict about issuing visa to citizens from those countries. After 9/11, do not expect the US government won't scrutinize people.

I admit have to hat's off for this guy for being patient in such long wait. I think probably it makes his marriage a lot stronger. His visa under the administrative processing is probably even longer compare to some couple's marriage in nowadays, lol.
