Well approval notice just means USCIS will ship the petition to NVC who will then put it in the storage until your PD becomes current=visa available.

My sister's I-130 was approved in less than 2 yrs - she has another 10 to wait to get the visa.

We just received notice of approval, is this for real? Visa bulletin priority date for May 2014 is only 2003. Anybody here got approval notice with priority date later than 2009?

That is just USCIS approval of your i130. Tell your petitioner to keep the NOA2 somewhere safe for your record.

The National Visa Center (NVC) won't contact you until sometime in 2019.

On another note: you should remain single/unmarried because marriage will void your F2B petition.

It doesn't really matter when they have approved the i130 because the total waiting time of 10 YEARS still applies (for F2B Philippines).

Hi,

You are making a mistake.

USCIS approved the I-130 showing the petitioner is related to the beneficiary. This allows the beneficiary to wait in line until the Priority Date in the Visa Bulletin is current in order to qualify to apply for an immigration visa.

You have only been approved to wait in the F2B line. There is no visa number currently available to you. You must wait until your PD is current to be able to apply for an immigration visa.

HI! My name is april from the Philippines and my priority date is 12MARCH2010 with preference category of F2B.

The Consulate sent me a letter last September 2010 regarding my Case number.

I would like to ask because i just saw in the US consulate website regarding the ff:

One Year Contact Requirement

After you receive notification that the NVC is processing your case, you must contact them at least once a year. If you do not contact the NVC for one year, all documents and fees on your case will expire and you must resubmit them to resume processing.

If my parents wasn't able to follow up then that means that my petition is now invalid.?

attached is the NVC's message when i checked my case status, what does it mean literally.?

It really makes me sad. can anyone please help me with this.

I am currently living and working in Dubai would it be possible to forward my petition from the philippines to here.?

I will wait for anyone's help. Please kindly reply. Thank you very much.

Did you get anything from the NVC? If so, what was in that letter? If I'm not mistaken, the 1 year only applies for cases the NVC is actively working on (e.g. PD is current or soon to be).

The screenshot you sent over indicates that your case is with NVC and is the normal status. HTH

Your NVC process will not start until some time in 2019. Your case is still active but filed in storage until your priority date becomes current in (more or less) 2020.
