hi all members,

i got my CHECKLIST COVER LETTER) from NVC on 9th Apr 2014 and im still waiting for the interview date can any body help me to predict my interview date???

my wife is US national and our Priority Date was 3rd apr 2013.

check list cover letter? This type of thing means some thing is missing and NVC is requesting it. So as soon as NVC receives this missing document then they will b reviewing it within 30 days hopefully before 30 days. then you will receive interview date.

A "checklist cover letter" indicates a request for more documentation. That would mean your case is not complete at NVC yet. If you responded to the checklist satisfactorily and they now have everything they need, then you'll probably hear about an interview date in May sometime. That would mean a June or July interview unless your Consular Unit has a backlog.

Also, your profile indicates K3 visa, but clearly you are on the CR1 or IR1 visa path, not K3. Please update your profile and timeline.

Really? Where did you read or hear checklist is not a request for additional information?

What you do now? Double read or check the check list letter you received if it is asking for any additional info. If it is not, then call NVC to enquire why it was sent in the first place. Good luck!

You have been misinformed. Did you read the letter? What does it say?

A checklist cover letter, has a checklist of items being asked for.

Hi everyone,

NVC ask me for my original Nikkah Nama on 24th-Apr-14 and i sent them on 30th-Apr-14.Now onward im still awaiting for their reply of interview date.Can any one advise me how long i have to wait from there side???

usually how much time they need to analysis the required documents.Plz share valuable comments?

my only comments:

1. call into NVC, ask for a supervisor, and ask if that stuff was added into the casefile and reviewed by a human. Yes, use a telephone.
