Oh happywife, everybody is concerned about this question, especially me. But, as you said, possible retro is in july, and the new cutoff date will work from 1st of july, and we will have an interview in june. Don't worry, we'll get those IL's at appropriate time, like next week=)))

It won't effect us until the first date of july. If your interview is on 20th june, you'll get your visa. I guess your are even more worried about it than I am, and I'm desperate=) Only few days to wait to make everything clear :)

The July 2014 Visa Bulletin becomes effective on July 1, 2014. It does not become effective when released.

If your PD regresses and is no longer current on July 1, then the US Embassy can not issue a visa.

A current PD is required for the US Embassy to issue a visa.

Hi,

Is there any article about this said retrogression that I can possibly read? I have no idea about this and would like to know how it may affect the our I-130 petition ( we just received the case number and the invoice number for my son ) that's already in process, and how it may affect another I-130 petition we are planning to start early this May.

What visa category will be affected by this? And how will it affect the visa processing?

Thanks!

In what instances can PD regress and wont be current? And what will the US embassy do when this happen?

There you go a link to USCIS website that will explain 'bout the VISA RETROGRESSION

http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/visa-availability-priority-dates/visa-retrogression

FYI , visa retrogression does not affect IR categories ( Immediate relative of US Citizen )

It does affect to F2A F2B ( Relative of Permanent Resident , can be child spouse...)
