Wouldn't Pending divided by completions give you the the wait time and then it makes it 2-3 months....(around 12,000 pending divided by 4,000 completes) or am I getting this wrong, why is the wait 5 months then

So does this mean November TSC I130 filers are not likely to see NOA2 till end of May? That would suck. Bad enough I've been with my husband for over 5 years and see fiancee visas where the people have met like twice getting approved.

Sorry just frustrated.

Well look at it this way...some people were and still are waiting over a year, they only recently updated their processing average to 5 months. You'd be lucky if you got your NOA2 that fast!

I try not to think about how long or how much other couples know each other or whatever, length of time doesn't make a relationship stronger than another. We all want the same thing in the end. People trying to commit fraud however...that is very frustrating, they always seem to get quick approvals.

I agree totally. Just feeling tired of waiting, even though I knew it would take a while to get to where we want to be.Hubby and I not getting any younger (both in our mid to late 50's) so feeling like I want to have a LIFE with him before we're old and decrepit. LOK

And yes, amazing how many frauds there are, and how quickly we hear about them on here. Very sad.

Peace.

Well, I prefer see the bright side though, at least in the waiting people can save money for pay the AOS fee ($1,070) that must be as soon as people get married in USA.

the 93 days also does not include weekends. if you include weekends in the calculation it works out to be about 130 days.

read the original post, she already took the weekends out. So it isn't 130 days, it is 93 as stated originally

Where are you seeing 12,000 pending? This is Texas Service center petitions only.

Don't you have to look at Texas's number ? which is 6000ish / 1400ish and that's 4-5months ? plus you need to allow time to process that month's application too ...

Exactly, that's what i've calculated!

Hi there! I noticed you are a CR1 applicant? The calculations I have made are for K1 applicants only, I haven't done any math for the CR1 data i'm sorry.

Your wait will be different to us K1 filers as they are adjudicated differently, but i'm sure you know that!

hello! I guess i wasn't clear about what i was trying to communicate. :)

yes, as you noted the calculation is 93 days (6,716 petitions / 72 approved per day) and does not include weekends.

however, when people are thinking about days to approval...they typically do not exclude counting the weekend days. so if we say 93 weekdays to clear outstanding petitions that works out to be about 130 days total.

and the 130 days is in line with what other people are saying on this thread...4ish months.

hope that makes more sense.

and ps - i did read the original post :)

I understood you! Yes that is correct, my first post is calculations without weekends then my second post was answering a theoretical question if petitions were approved with weekends = 93 days business days.

130 days is more correct in terms of a regular 7 day week.

Warning, More math!

But keep in mind that this 130 days has already begun since February, as per the USCIS data.

Now whether or not the existing 6,700+ pending petitions are being approved at that rate is anyone's guess because it's now April..

So since the first day of March (because the data ends at February) up until today, there's been 35 business days.

Based on the data there are 72 petition approvals per day

Have wee seen approx 2500 approvals?

I personally haven't seen that much movement of Nov, Dec January and February VJ timelines at TSC much.

So I just had this thought...

I-130s were taking like a year or so but recently they've been updated to a 5 month average, there are about 32,000 I-130s at the moment. I wonder if that means we'll be taking the backseat for a little while?

I am, just saw TSC so jumped in, sorry.

Sure seems like K-1 filers get approvals quicker than IR/CR-1.

Peace.

Perish the thought!!! LOL
