Hi, I was told that my petition was sent to the NVC on 4-14-2014. We will be using the Lagos consulate, so I need advice on what to expect next. Can those that have successfully used the Lagos consulate advise on the steps taken once the approved petition reached the NVC till the interview? Thanks in advance!

12/03/2015: Green Card Approved! (Card being Produced) :dancing:

Please click on the NVC process Wiki in my signature it will tell you all you need to know about NVC. Alot to get to know. Hope you are getting your affidavit of support together. It will take from 4 to 8 weeks to get to NVC and get entered into system.

There's nothing unique on the NVC process thats Lagos specific, its everybody so read the Wiki. Hopefully you provided good evidence to prove a bonafide relationship when you sent in your I-130. That is vital to be successful at Lagos.

Go read come back ask questions. Congratulations on the USCIS approval. Now the next steps.

Thanks for the info. I filed an I129F. Does anyone know what happens once the embassy in Lagos receives the packet from the NVC? I've heard some people received emails and others called to get their interview dates.

I am so sorry I thought you were a IR1/CR1/ Don't wait for embassy. Soon as you get case# from NVC (yes you must call them) you can go pay your Visa fee at GTB bank and get medical and get things going.

Look ta the Nigerian portal under consular information is there the forms you can download now and prepare. DO NOT wait for Embassy.
