Chinese girlfriend visiting America

Hey VJ members! My Chinese girlfriend would like to visit me in America this summer. We're prepared for the application and interview process, but we're unsure about how our relationship could affect her application. Would she have a better chance at being accepted if she just doesn't mention me (or our relationship) and instead applies for a simple tourist visa? I know visiting a significant other is usually a big red flag in China, but I've read a lot of things online and I've found a lot of different stories, situations and results. So I was just curious what you guys think.

A little information about her, if it helps. She's in her early 20's and currently a full-time student. She's not rich, but she has enough money to fly here and stay in a hotel for the duration of her stay. After this summer she plans to return to her home city and being working. She has already been hired as far as I know/she has told me, so her future employer could potentially write a letter, if that helps.

I was in a relationship when I applied for a tourist visa in Singapore(2 years relationship). I am a Malaysian born chinese, did not encounter any issue during my interview.

Ties I have : a stable job in Singapore that I already been working for a year before I applied for the visa.

Other ties but are not asked for: bank statement with fixed deposit, 6 months pay stub, employment contractor, employment letter, savings account.

Everybody is different, that is just my experience with my tourist visa application.

Wow, thanks for the fast response. Did you put in your visa application that you were traveling to see your significant other? Some people have said to be completely honest with everything, while others have said to leave the relationship aspect out of the application.

I don't remember if that is asked in the form at all? I put my bf's address on the address that I am going to stay in the U.S., I remembered that part

You never had to explain the address you put? Or did you just say it was a friend's address?

OP, one thing to remember, you said you were leaning towards "not telling." One thing to remember, while information not asked for does not need to be volunteered and truthful generic answers to generic questions are acceptable; specific questions must be answered truthfully.
