Hey all

I filled out the ds-160 form for my K1 visa last night and am now wondering what is the next step? Do I go ahead and make the doctor apt and interview? Or do I await the k3 package to be mailed to me? Also when and where do I pay the visa processing fee?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

xo

You need p3, which you send back, and then p4, and then you book and interview online, and then you book the medical.

I never got a so called P3 or P4 ... just a letter saying we could proceed! and my lawyer gave me the instructions to make an account on usvisa-info.com and there I would get the phone number I had to dial to make the appointments.

I made both my consular interview and my pictures/finger print appointment. Oh and my medical as well! you might want to make your account and call, they will guide you!

Dont worry! you will do perfectly FINE! I was nervous buuuut really worked on being possitive and anytime I had a bad thought of doubt or something .... I would talk to myself and say..." why would I be nervous! I got this! and what has to be, will be!" things lke this hahahah

I was surprised at how much actively saying possitive things to myself helped me feel secure!

YOU GOT THIS!

Good luck!

Amazing. I created the account but will wait till I either get a letter stating for me to go ahead and book my appts or the P3 letter....

Thank you so much for your advice..... I will remain positive and not worry too much. Lol. I am currently in the States so I worry I will miss the letter in the mail...... but I just coerced my sister into checking my mail a couple times a week. Lol

Thank you again!!!!

Montreal or Vancouver normally sends a P3 by email.

You cannot book the interview until you get the P4 letter from them. The interview will just cancel itself.

Have you looked into the Canadian subforum stickied threads? We have two that can talk you through the process of K1 at either Montreal or Vancouver.

Different consulates have different processes and requirements. Just because Juarez does not send out any packets does not mean that other consulates do not. Many of them do.

OP > Depending on which consulate you will be going through in Canada, why not look up the instructions directly on their website?

Vancouver > http://vancouver.usconsulate.gov/visas/fiance-visas.html

Montreal > http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/visas/visas/fianc-k-1-visas/steps.html
