Lets say my wife came aboard as visitor at January 9, 2013

and I got my US citizenship at Feb 7,2013.

Then married her at March 15, 2013.

We planned to have wedding in 4 month after marriage. So she decided to stay so we can prepare for wedding together.

1+ year past and I am trying to apply her green card now.

1. I am not sure whether we should say "we planned to have marriage before he/she come over to US" in the interview. The Guide here says people shouldn't have intention for immigration and marriage.

2. I am also afraid they wouldn't believe her stayed because she want to prepare our wedding together. Is this even can be a good reason to interviewer?

Thanks

I don't believe you didn't plan it, but intent by itself is not a strong enough reason to deny an AOS based of a marriage to a USC, in the absence of other negative factors.

As long as she did not lie at POE, it should be okay.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

are you saying you don't believe I didn't plan to have marriage or overstay?

We didn't plan to have her overstay at all and we didn't plan to have wedding before she come over. Wedding was decided while she was here because we have to adjust based on her best friend and all of our family's best available time.

you are saying even I said we intend to get married, it would be fine?
